Ryanair purchase of Aer Lingus update


European Union regulators today said that they believed the proposed takeover of EI by FR(Ryanair).

"Is likely to significantly impede effective competition"

This is not a final decision by the EU competition regulator, who will decide whether the takeover should be allowed or not, that will come early in the summer, but it a very positive step, for those who like quality, competetion and Aer Lingus.

Emirates to expand the Srilankan


Emirates planing to expand the srilankan fleet once they nod the new contract. They are probably planing to add more destinations in Australia, Europe, Asia and Africa specially focusing on indian traffic. For them what will be the best fleet expansion plan. Is it add more airbuses and it will minimise the cost of expansion. i hope srilankan fleet will be like this:

10 A340-300;
04 A330-300;
04 A330-200;
06 A320;
03 ATR72 (to operate small indian cities).

Aer Lingus make Long Haul order


EI has made an order with Airbus, the order is for Long haul Jets

6 A330-300E for delivery from 2009 to 2011;
6 A350XWB for delivery from 2014 to 2016.
